The plot of Persona 4 was inspired by the work of mystery novelists owing to its murder mystery premise. During his year-long stay, he becomes involved in investigating mysterious murders with a group of friends while harnessing the power to summon physical manifestations of their psyches known as a Persona. The player-named protagonist is a high-school student who moved into the countryside from the city for a year. Persona 4 takes place in a fictional Japanese countryside and is indirectly related to earlier Persona games. It was re-released as a PlayStation 2 Classic for the PlayStation 3 in April 2014. It is chronologically the fifth installment in the Persona series, itself a part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise, and was released for the PlayStation 2 in Japan in July 2008, North America in December 2008, and Europe in March 2009, as one of the final major exclusives for the system. No matter how you look at Warriors Orochi 2, this is basically the same game we've played countless times before - but with more characters and a zombie Orochi (Kidding?!).Persona 4, released outside of Japan as Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, is a role-playing video game by Atlus. Repetitive combat, dumb AI, obnoxious missions and bland visuals make this game hard to swallow. #Summon night 5 undub fullAnd who doesn't want to ride a horse through hundreds of soldiers and lay waste to them with an oversized sword? But on the other hand, all the classic Warriors problems return in full force. Once again, Warriors Orochi 2 gives players an absurd amount of leveling to do, as the roster dangerously approaches 100 total characters, all of which can be leveled-up and customized. It's nice to have a hack-n-slash on the go and playing in bite-sized pieces is totally doable. Again, although we've seen all this content before a year ago, it feels somewhat more suitable on the PSP. The result is ugly, with unbreakable combos that make matches feel pretty pointless. The mode that stands out like an awkward cousin in a family photo is VS Mode, which - as was the case in the other versions - forces the simple battle mechanics of Dynasty Warriors into a broken fighting game shell. On the other hand, Dream Mode sets you up with particular, preset scenarios for your own twisted enjoyment. #Summon night 5 undub freeFree Mode lets you replay these missions with a team of your choosing (out of chronological order). Story Mode and Free Mode are essentially the same thing - players select a group of three and head into battle, following one of five campaigns that center on a particular kingdom/faction. Warriors Orochi 2 is divided into several gameplay types: Story Mode, Free Mode, Dream Mode, VS Mode and Survival Mode. Tag out a character to give him or her the opportunity to regain health and charge his or her Musou gauge.Ĭould this be an intriguing love triangle!? As was the case with the first Warriors Orochi, players are bringing three characters into battle at once, though only one can be on the field at a time. When a character's Musou gauge fills up, you can activate a powerful move which generally obliterates all nearby opponents. This all boils down to running through a sea of NPCs and mashing away at the Square button, while occasionally hitting Triangle (for a combo-ending Charge Attack). Every character has a Normal Attack, Charge Attack - which punctuates their combos - a Special Attack (depending on their classification: Power, Speed or Technique), and a Musou Attack. The battle system in Warriors Orochi 2 will come naturally to Dynasty Warriors nuts and will be easy to pick up for newcomers. Then again, Warriors Orochi 2 is disappointingly similar to the original Warriors Orochi. Sure, not much has changed in a year, but it feels somewhat more natural on the PSP. It is for this reason, mainly, that I wanted to revisit the Warriors Orochi 2 review as opposed to using my previous article composed last year. Hacking and slashing is fun in short bursts and KOEI's inability to keep up with its peers graphically is less pronounced on a portable. #Summon night 5 undub portableAlthough the fundamentals of Warriors Orochi 2 haven't changed, I still find a portable system to be more suitable for the Warriors games. #Summon night 5 undub ps2Warriors Orochi 2 is, therefore, more like the PS2 version - but this portable outing performs fairly well and once again finds a somewhat more suitable home on Sony's handheld device. Although the 360 version was released at the same time as the PS2 version last year, it obviously had more impressive visuals (for a Dynasty Warriors game) and it ran significantly better. #Summon night 5 undub pspIt would be appropriate to compare Warriors Orochi 2 on the PSP to its console predecessor: Warriors Orochi 2 on the PS2.
